| Les travaux entrepris par le laboratoire IFREMER de l'Houmeau ont pour objectif d'aider à définir des mesures d'aménagement qui devraient permettre d'optimiser la production mytilicole du Pertuis Breton. Depuis 1989, une partie des programmes de recherche établis pour la période 1989-1993 bénéficie, jusqu'en 1992 compris, d'une aide financière de la région Poitou-Charentes. Ces programmes ont été répartis en 3 actions: Action 1 : Etude des causes de mortalités des moules dans le Pertuis Breton ; Action 2 : Réaménagement des bouchots du Pertuis ; Action 3 : Etude des possibilités d'élevage de moules sur filières. | The stock of Lambi, Strombus gigas (gastropod: strombidae), coastal benthic resource, has been exploited artisanally since the prehistoric period in Martinique. Nowadays, three lines of work exploit the species: free diving, nets (since the middle of the century) and scuba diving since 1985. This report presents the activity of each line of work, surveyed directly from 1986 to 1987: fishing zones and resource allocation, production, effort and performance, detail of catches (by length). The socio economic characteristics of the lambi fishermen are studied. The significant production of leisure fishing is also estimated. | In September 1989, Mr Pierre Papon, Chairman of the IFREMER, expressed his wish for a study on the issues of research in marine economy. Carried out under the direction of Jacques Weber, this document is the result of this study. Dealing with marine economy equals, mutatis mutandis, dealing with terrestrial economy: the uniqueness of the subject, economy, as that of the marine element, hides a wide heterogeneity and a multiplicity of research questions. This is the reason why eight different fields were chosen to be investigated. It was decided to take an inventory, for each field, of all the specialised research centres, and to interview their directors or some specialists. Interviews were thus carried out by sector. |

| The "Artificial reefs" and "Repopulating" issues have been tackled by the Ifremer for a number of years without reaching a clear cut point of view, mainly for lack of socio-economic elements necessary to a rigorous analysis of these devices and practices. During a mission in Japan in January 2006, some Japanese experts, have presented to the head of the Ifremer a few examples of realisations related to these fields and conducted in their country. | L'ostréiculture sur la côte Ouest Cotentin a été étudiée à partir d'estimations des stocks en élevage et de suivis de populations entre 1990 et 1992. A partir de stratégies d'échantillonnages, les stocks en élevage ont été estimés à 33 556 et 35 542 t respectivement en 1990 et 1991. Sur une production normande annuelle totalisant 34 914 tonnes, 53% a été produit sur la côte Ouest Cotentin en 1990. Un modèle global d'aménagement est proposé définissant la relation entre les performances de croissance mesurées, les cheptels en élevage, le niveau d'émersion, et la distance par rapport aux principales sources d'éléments nutritifs terrigènes.
